This Largest delta in the world rises from the Bay of Bengal and goes up to the footsteps of the Himalayas. The mighty Bay of Bengal guards its coasts. Itinerary: Day 01: Dhaka- Chadpur- Barisal (onboard) Meet with our guide at one pre designed place and get on board a bus to head towards the Jetty. Arrive at the jetty and embark at the ship around 10:00hrs. The ship will cruise toward the Sundarbans. En-route stop-o at Chandpur, Barisal. Arrive at Sharnakhola range in Sundarban and overnight at the vessel. Dhaka is more than 1500 years old and became capital of the country in 1608 under the Mughal rule. During ancient and medieval periods, the city was known to the world for its unique product, the Muslin – the nest fabric ever produced in the world. Day 02: Sharankhola – Kotka (on board) Reach Saronkhola Reserve at midday. Process papers at the Forest oce and take on two armed forest guards. Explore Saronkhola reserve area. On completion of the paper works including payment of Forest fees, sail to Katka. Reach Katka at 4.00 PM Explore Katka (oce site). Canal visit with small boat (8.30 PM). Time to explore Kotka wildlife of Sundarbans. Don’t miss out on capturing spotted deer (Chital Horin), dierent species of macaque Monkeys and mongoose, wild boar, endangered reptiles and Indian python, and explore as many species of birds out of 260. Stay overnight at Katka. Day 03: Katka – Jamtola Sea beach – Kochikhalil- Damar char – Dhaka Explore Jamtola Beach from 7.00 AM to 10.00 AM. At 10.30 AM sail from Katha to Kachikhali. Reach Kachikhali at 12.30 PM and then explore oce site and Damar Char till 4 pm/5 pm Dramatic excitement begins when you switch over to ‘country-boat’ rowing along the picturesque view of thickness Mangrove forest in Kachikhali with absolute silence prevails-discover pugmarks of ‘Royal Bengal Tiger’ various species of Kingsher and home of the crocodile. Later on move forward to Dimer Char. Dimer Char is a tidal at(s) located in Sundarban.and then turns back towards Dhaka. Day 04: Dhaka We reach Dhaka and disembark at Postogola Ghat at 11:00 AM depending on tide-ebb. Then we will move ahead to visit Panam Nagar (Wednesday & Thursday Weekend) at Sonargaon. It was one of the oldest capitals of ancient Bangladesh. Dhaka was connected with the Silk Road by Uttarapath (North Road) constructed in the 3rd century BC. The road was refurbished in the 16th century AD and became known as The Grand Trunk Road which also connected Dhaka with Sonargaon. Lunch in a local restaurant. Sonargaon Folk Art Museum & Goaldi Mosque (Wednesday & Thursday Weekend) The Goaldi Mosque is one of the very few surviving medieval monuments in the city of Sonargaon about half a mile northwest of the little township of Panam. Then transfer to Dhaka hotel check in, dinner and overnight hotel in Dhaka. Day 05: Dhaka After breakfast at a local restaurant, a full day of sightseeing covering Sadarghat River Front, located in the southern part of Dhaka, on the river Burignaga, which is one of the most dynamic places in Dhaka. Here, the Sadarghat Launch Terminal is one of the largest river ports in the world. About 200 large and small passenger launches (motorized boats) depart and arrive at the terminal every day. At this place the scene of hundreds of country boats laden with passengers and merchandise crossing the river is fascinating. Ahsan Manjil /Pink Palace (Closed on Thursday) - Ahsan Manzil is one of the most signicant architectural monuments of Bangladesh. It was built in 1872 in the style of Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture on the bank of the river Buriganga. Also known as the Pink Palace for its color, the two-story building stands on a raised platform of one meter. Then back to hotel dinner and overnight hotel in Dhaka. Day 06: Departure Breakfast at hotel & check-out. Shopping at Aarong (local handicraft shop) & transfer to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for onward flight.
